BUDENNY (BUDENNOVSKAYA)

The Budenny breed was appeared in 1948. It's a one of the most popular horse breeds in Russia. The Budenny breed was created for a saddle as cavalry type on studs of the Rostov region (the South of Russia) soon after 1920 years. It was created thanks to the complicated reproduction selection. Mares of Donsky, Chernomorsky breeds and English Thoroughbred stallions served as a basis for for the Budenny breed. It join best qualities of initial breeds.

  The Budenny breed got the endurance, the strong health and the gold-chestnut colour from Donsky and Chernomorsky, developed muscles and very frisky moovings from English Thoroughbred rider horses. The Budenny breed is differ by universal qualities and used in many classical types of horse-sport - a dressage, jumps and races. Well co-ordination, flexibility, fine natural jumps help sportsmen to get high results. In Moscow XXII Olympic games the gold-chestnut stallion REYS riding by V.Asmaev was distinguished by beautiful powerful jumps.
